The test is intended to aid in the diagnosis of patients with Crohn's disease (CD). When used in combination with p-ANCA, Biofons ASCA IgA kit is useful in the differential diagnosis between ulcerative colitis (UC) and CD. When using both IgA and IgG ASCA ELISA tests together, there is a marked increase in sensitivity.
