GLUCODYN is a cost efficient and ready-to-use glucose solution. The solution is used in glucose tolerance testing to screen for gestational diabetes and diabetes mellitus in addition to the diagnosis of gestational diabetes.

One bottle, 330 ml, of GLUCODYN contains 75 g glucose which is the dose recommended by WHO for adults in glucose tolerance tests.

GLUCODYN solution is delivered in ordinary soft drink bottles of 330 ml.
It is like a slightly carbonated soft drink with a nice taste of cola. The solution is easy to drink and even children like it. Best when served chilled.

GLUCODYN is convenient for accurately administering the required dose.
In the glucose tolerance testing, the standard dose for an adult is one bottle of GLUCODYN solution (330 ml/75 g glucose). The dose for children is 7.7 ml (1.75 g glucose) per kg of body weight. Total children’s dose should not exceed 75 g.

Ready-made doses save lab personnel’s time and can be easily used when needed.

GLUCODYN solution can also be used as an additional energy source in different muscular exertions and sports performances. 1 bottle of solution 330 ml = 1275 kJ, 1 ml of the solution = 3.86 kJ

Ingredients

Glucose syrup, maltodextrin, purified water, acidity control compound E330, preservative E211, cola aroma, foodstuff colour E150, and carbonic acid.

Storage

When stored unopened a shelf-life of 3 years can be expected at room temperature. An opened bottle can be stored in the refrigerator for one month. Best when served chilled.
